Winning Start + Nasri Looks Like A Gem
Labels: Highlights, Samir NasriHello all, the match just finished a few minutes ago and I got your highlights and some thoughts on the match.
3 points in the bag to start, and a lot of positive things from our first game. I feel compelled to start by mentioning Samir Nasri, what a great game he had today. 4 minutes into his first season in the Premiership and he scores his first goal. What a great goal it was too in typical Arsenal style. Incisive passing, great link up play and set up on a plate for Nasri by Denilson. From then on Nasri looked terrific all match long. He linked up with his teammates, held the ball up well, made precision passes, and even tracked back to help out on defence. Wonderful debut for the boy and I'm sure he will make us all say, "Hleb Who?".
Moving on, I have to give kudos to Eboue for a solid match in midfield. He made some nice passes and even created a few chances for himself. I've never liked him playing on the right but he is a very good utility player for us as he is showing.
Nobody else really stood out for me, but it's not to worrying. We don't have the sharpness yet but that will come after a few matches. Luckily we have an easy start to the season and there should be enough time for players like RVP, Toure, Cesc etc. to get match fit.
In other news, Justin Hoyte has completed a £3m move to Middlesborough. I hope he succeeds there and has a good future!
No other news, enjoy the rest of the day!
