Another Signing Coming + Fulham Tomorrow

Good morning, all sorts of news today...

So, Arsene Wenger says we are still in the mix to buy a Midfielder and the speculation continues to be centred around Alonso and Barry. Apparently we had a 10m offer for Alonso refused by Pool, and now we are in the hunt for Barry instead. According to Wenger, being cup tied is not really an issue for him. Wenger likes to play games though so we'll see what his true intentions are probably after the Fulham game. Don't forget about Inler though, Wenger was there to watch the Switzerland game on Wednesday so he is probably interested in him as well.

As a result of the Silvestre signing, Armand Traore has gone on loan to Pompey. This is a good move for him since he has bags of talent. He can get some valuable Premiership experience and learn lessons from Ex Arsenal players. Good luck to him!

There are some rumours that Milan are in for our defender Philippe Senderos. I still have high hopes for Senderos so hopefully any move he makes is a loan deal. I have also heard about Newcastle being linked to him so we'll see.

Last year our Spanish Keeper Manuel Almunia said he would consider playing for England. He will qualify for UK citizenship next year and he has once again said he would consider being the England stopper. It will be his only chance for international football since he would never get into the Spanish side. I guess this issue will be revisited again next year.

After the shock signing of Mikael Silvestre, the defender has explained why he chose Arsenal. All I have to say is that he won't be fit for our next match...yup, he just signed yesterday and is already on the injured list...Great Success! *in Borat voice*

So next up is Fulham who won't be happy to see us. They lost to Hull last week which was the surprise result of the weekend. I'm pretty confident we can get the win but anything can happen in football. Cesc Fabregas will be out for the game, but he should be back for Twente. Samir Nasri will be in the side even though he didn't play for France midweek. Check back tomorrow after the match and I will post the highlights and my opinions.

That's all for now, it's the weekend!
